PlusSizeNearby.com is an independent directory of 6,551 plus size clothing stores across 51 US states — the boutiques, bridal shops, big & tall stores, and dedicated plus size chains where the whole store is in your size, not one rack at the back.

It's built for the shopper who's tired of "we have a plus section" disappointments: the bride hunting for a shop with try-on samples in her size, the woman who wants to know whether a boutique actually goes past 3X before she drives over, the guy who needs real big & tall and not a single shelf of XXL, and anyone who'd rather try things on with a friendly fitter than gamble on another return-shipping label.

How we verify size ranges — the part that makes this site useful. A store's category listing can't tell you whether a size 26 will find anything on the racks, so we don't take the listing's word for it. We mine two sources of evidence for every store: the store's own website (when it states a size range or proves extended sizes — 4X and up, size 26 and up — in its own words) and thousands of public shopper reviews, where people say what actually fit. When you see "sizes 12–32" on a listing, that's the store's own stated range; when you see "shoppers mention sizes 16–30 fitting here," that's review-mined — real people, real fitting rooms. The same mining backs everything else we badge: which brands a store carries (Judy Blue, Kiyonna, and the rest), whether the bra fittings are done right, whether there are alterations on site, and whether the vibe is genuinely body-positive. Badges require evidence, not guesswork — which also means the counts are floors, and they grow as our crawls continue.

Listings are compiled from public map and business data, then filtered to genuine plus size retail — no big-box department stores with a token plus rack, no generic mall stores that happen to stock an XL. We re-crawl the dataset on a rolling basis to catch closures and new openings.

Our "best of" rankings are computed from Google ratings weighted by review volume — no store can pay for a placement or a rank. Every store page links to the store's own website when it has one, and prices are always presented as approximate, because racks change faster than any directory can track.
