I got put on about Akira by a friend. Wow! Akira’s stores are the best when it comes to trends and fashions. 💯😍 So, at the Norridge location ; I went there in 2024 of December to look for a New Years Eve outfit and the customer service was more than excellent. They were so helpful.
Salesman James was so nice and helpful. He had great style sense. He picked out a bunch of great stuff that I would have passed up that I ended up loving! He was very helpful while I was in the fitting room grabbing me sizes and offering advice.
I really enjoy shopping here. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I will continue to shop here: Frist for the staff and clothes second. As soon as I come in they greet me, take my bags off my hands and get a dressing room ready for me. They are always there to grab you another size or other options.

First, bridal shopping is usually by appointment — book ahead, and when you call, ask what size range their try-on samples come in. A shop can order almost any gown in your size, but the sample sizes on the floor decide whether you actually get to see yourself in the dress, and the good plus bridal shops stock samples to try, not just to imagine. Second, plan the alterations timeline: gowns and formal dresses typically go through two or three fittings, so the comfortable window is starting your search around 8–10 months before the date and saying yes to a gown by 6.
