Went shopping today for an outfit for the weekend. I am 10 months post partum after having two babies back to back. Words can’t describe how badly I was dreading going shopping with how badly I feel about my body right now.
Today I had the pleasure of Victoria styling me. Let’s just say she went above and beyond! She deserves all the recognition she was so patient yet so helpful nearly let me try on the whole store! And I ended up leaving with beautiful attire.. Thanks Victoria it was a pleasure to have you as my stylist.
This is one of my favorite places to shop. They always, always, always, have something cute and unique that you'll have a hard time finding someone else wearing because of the huge selection. One thing I noticed is that they cater to a variety of style tastes.

AKIRA comes up for plus size bridal and formal wear — confirmed on their own site. Two things to know before the trip. First, bridal shopping is usually by appointment — book ahead, and when you call, ask what size range their try-on samples come in. A shop can order almost any gown in your size, but the sample sizes on the floor decide whether you actually get to see yourself in the dress, and the good plus bridal shops stock samples to try, not just to imagine. Second, plan the alterations timeline: gowns and formal dresses typically go through two or three fittings, so the comfortable window is starting your search around 8–10 months before the date and saying yes to a gown by 6.
