This is my second professional fitting -- first one was at the MOA Nordstrom in 2013-ish after being recommended by r/ABraThatFits. This time I was recommended Allure, and I figured, "Hell yeah, local business, let's go!" It was pretty slow when I went, which I prefer bc it's less stressful.
I hadn't been fitted for a bra in years. Between gender dysphoria and having a baby, I was really struggling with my confidence and felt insecure about buying new bras. The staff at Allure were so kind to me and welcoming. They helped me get fitted properly and walked me through the entire process.
They obviously, importance what they are doing. Measuring is so important. They listened to me and know how to make a woman feel pretty with the proper fit. I don’t know why I didn’t come here earlier. I referred a friend right away; she went in a couple days later and spent almost as much as I did.
Man! This place is amazing! Not only did I find some great fitting bras (turns out, I'm a 40 FF/G!) But I also learned that I had been putting on bras wrong my entire life!

First, bridal shopping is usually by appointment — book ahead, and when you call, ask what size range their try-on samples come in. A shop can order almost any gown in your size, but the sample sizes on the floor decide whether you actually get to see yourself in the dress, and the good plus bridal shops stock samples to try, not just to imagine. Second, plan the alterations timeline: gowns and formal dresses typically go through two or three fittings, so the comfortable window is starting your search around 8–10 months before the date and saying yes to a gown by 6.
