Love Cato it usually has some really cute clothing for plus size ladies for reasonable prices. Unfortunately there's been quite a few times where their designs just aren't very modern and run old lady-ish for the plus sized side vs the normal sizes which is disappointing.
The ladies in the store were so nice and professional! They were remarkably busy stocking and straightening the stock, yet they had time to answer my questions and make recommendations to enhance my shopping experience. I love their clothes!
I needed new clothes for work in a pinch and I wanted to go somewhere close to work on my way home so I stopped in here. So glad I did! Everyone who helped me here was SO nice and helpful. I actually had fun shopping and their workwear was comfy and practical.
I’ve been to many Cato’s across the Midwest and this one is average. Typical of Cato, the selection was good with good selection in larger plus sizes. Customer service was good, staff was friendly; however, I had to wait quite a while and finally had to go looking for someone to let me into a dressing room.

First, bridal shopping is usually by appointment — book ahead, and when you call, ask what size range their try-on samples come in. A shop can order almost any gown in your size, but the sample sizes on the floor decide whether you actually get to see yourself in the dress, and the good plus bridal shops stock samples to try, not just to imagine. Second, plan the alterations timeline: gowns and formal dresses typically go through two or three fittings, so the comfortable window is starting your search around 8–10 months before the date and saying yes to a gown by 6.
