I came into Ellie Stone nervous and not expecting much. Being a plus sized girl - i'm used to clothing stores not having my size. I was ready to walk in and they have 5 plus size dresses is all. I was WRONG! I walked in and everyone was so welcoming and excited that I was there.
This was by far my favorite, most welcoming, laid back, bridal store I visited. The vibe was relaxed but elegant and professional without feeling stand-offish. Once we arrived we were led back to a gorgeous large private suite. We were given a tour of the store and the layout of the dresses.
I had a great experience at Ellie Stone Bride! We had planned a trip to Sioux Falls just to go dress shopping. After having no luck at any of the places we had reservations to, my mom called Ellie Stone but they were all booked. She said if anyone cancelled she would give us a call to come in.

A shop can order almost any gown in your size, but the sample sizes on the floor decide whether you actually get to see yourself in the dress, and the good plus bridal shops stock samples to try, not just to imagine. Second, plan the alterations timeline: gowns and formal dresses typically go through two or three fittings, so the comfortable window is starting your search around 8–10 months before the date and saying yes to a gown by 6.
