I recommend Janene’s to every engaged friend!! Both for the shopping experience and their alterations. The dress buying appointment was so amazing and stress free. They have dresses in REGULAR PEOPLE SIZES unlike several of the stores I went to before Janene’s.
I had a wonderful experience at Janene’s Bridal! Everyone that helped with the sale and alterations made me feel so special, welcomed, and supported. They worked speedily and carefully, along with creating a timeline that was tight, but perfect, as we only had 1 month (yikes!) before my wedding.
From the very beginning, Janene’s Bridal has been so welcoming and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. Upon walking into the shop, I was so nervous, but the staff immediately put me at ease. Tiffany was my stylist, and I can’t recommend her enough.

A shop can order almost any gown in your size, but the sample sizes on the floor decide whether you actually get to see yourself in the dress, and the good plus bridal shops stock samples to try, not just to imagine. Second, plan the alterations timeline: gowns and formal dresses typically go through two or three fittings, so the comfortable window is starting your search around 8–10 months before the date and saying yes to a gown by 6.
