I had such an incredible experience with K&B Bridals at Takoma Park, starting before I even stepped foot in the store. My bridal dress journey began as a stressful one.
I had the most amazing experience wedding dress shopping at K&B Bridal with my mom, godmother, and best friend. This was my third boutique, and they by far had the best selection of dresses I’d tried up until that point — truly next level. My stylist, Mycal, was absolutely incredible.
I bought my dress in July 2024 and got married on 03/29/2025! This was the second bridal shop I had gone to and immediately LOVED the vibes. I am on the quieter/shyer side and the ladies helping me were Julissa and Naomi, they made me feel super comfortable and made this process smooth.
I said yes to the dress! After what seemed like a tour of nos at various places, this was the place I needed. I loved that the options were size inclusive and gorgeous and fun to try everything on. Cheyenne was wonderful to work with!

First, bridal shopping is usually by appointment — book ahead, and when you call, ask what size range their try-on samples come in. A shop can order almost any gown in your size, but the sample sizes on the floor decide whether you actually get to see yourself in the dress, and the good plus bridal shops stock samples to try, not just to imagine. Second, plan the alterations timeline: gowns and formal dresses typically go through two or three fittings, so the comfortable window is starting your search around 8–10 months before the date and saying yes to a gown by 6.
