I live about 45 minutes away, but googled where to get a good bra fit. Let me tell you, it was absolutely worth the drive! The owner was busy when I got there and she invited me to look around while I waited for my fit. The shop is unique and beautiful!
I went to Lace Affaire after googling “bra fitting in CT” and had my fingers crossed. After two children and only time to order my bras online, I really wanted to get some expert advice. When I arrived I was fortunate to have the owner help me.
Beautiful store with lovely lingerie and clothes. I will say that they don’t necessarily carry a wide selection of sizes. The employee measured me as wearing 42D, but only had three bras in that size, none of which were a good fit.
Every woman deserves a proper fitting and quality bras. This local gem is heaven sent - wonderful people and well priced products. Don't get the impression that since it's a boutique you'll be paying through the nose - I've paid more (plus shipping) for worse!

First, bridal shopping is usually by appointment — book ahead, and when you call, ask what size range their try-on samples come in. A shop can order almost any gown in your size, but the sample sizes on the floor decide whether you actually get to see yourself in the dress, and the good plus bridal shops stock samples to try, not just to imagine. Second, plan the alterations timeline: gowns and formal dresses typically go through two or three fittings, so the comfortable window is starting your search around 8–10 months before the date and saying yes to a gown by 6.
