My appointment was amazing! I felt so special and listened too and found my dress quickly! I am plus size so I was nervous going into the appointment, but they were incredibly accommodating and had dresses in all sizes. I am so happy I was able to say yes at Monica’s and can’t wait for my big day!

O.M.G. This was THE BEST experience! I can’t recommend this place enough. When my group and I arrived, we were greeted by multiple attendants, given a private area for the dress they-ons, and they had cookies, chocolates, and personalized signs/decor for us…you name it, they had it! Plus other fun things.

Monica's Bridal comes up for plus size bridal and formal wear — confirmed on their own site. Two things to know before the trip. First, bridal shopping is usually by appointment — book ahead, and when you call, ask what size range their try-on samples come in. A shop can order almost any gown in your size, but the sample sizes on the floor decide whether you actually get to see yourself in the dress, and the good plus bridal shops stock samples to try, not just to imagine. Second, plan the alterations timeline: gowns and formal dresses typically go through two or three fittings, so the comfortable window is starting your search around 8–10 months before the date and saying yes to a gown by 6.
