Peaches is a dream come true for prom dress shopping! I literally found the perfect dress there. The service was top-notch; the workers were so kind and attentive, making the whole experience feel super high-class. The only downside was the no-photo policy, but honestly, that was totally okay.
Mary Ann was a wonderful helper and so kind. She was very patient and knowledgeable about questions I had for my daughter’s dresses. We got to meet the designer of Portia and Scarlett, she was amazing and hand picked a dress for her to try on. She was personable and passionate about her designs.

First, bridal shopping is usually by appointment — book ahead, and when you call, ask what size range their try-on samples come in. A shop can order almost any gown in your size, but the sample sizes on the floor decide whether you actually get to see yourself in the dress, and the good plus bridal shops stock samples to try, not just to imagine. Second, plan the alterations timeline: gowns and formal dresses typically go through two or three fittings, so the comfortable window is starting your search around 8–10 months before the date and saying yes to a gown by 6. Alterations are mentioned on site here, which makes the fitting logistics a whole lot easier.
