If you're looking for a dress for that special occasion, look no further. There are so many styles, patterns, colors, and sizes to choose from. Weather you're looking for a larger size or you're a curvy woman, this is the place.
I needed a dress for my daughter’s wedding in St Croix. I am quite heavy and wanted something that made me feel comfortable and pretty. It’s quite hot in St Croix! Julie listened to my concerns and her recommendations were great. I purchased like the second dress I tried on.
Not sure why I didn't elaborate when I first posted this review, but I will now! My mom really struggled to find a dress for my wedding since most options for her were only available online. After ordering so many, only to wait, try on, and return them, we went to Queen of Hearts.
I had a great experience at Queen of Hearts. The owner Julie made me feel very comfortable and helped me to find the perfect formal outfit to wear to both my niece’s wedding and a charity gala. The seamstress, Carmen, did a wonderful job with the alterations.
Plus size bridal & formal at Queen of Hearts
Queen of Hearts comes up for plus size bridal and formal wear — confirmed on their own site. Two things to know before the trip. First, bridal shopping is usually by appointment — book ahead, and when you call, ask what size range their try-on samples come in. A shop can order almost any gown in your size, but the sample sizes on the floor decide whether you actually get to see yourself in the dress, and the good plus bridal shops stock samples to try, not just to imagine. Second, plan the alterations timeline: gowns and formal dresses typically go through two or three fittings, so the comfortable window is starting your search around 8–10 months before the date and saying yes to a gown by 6. Alterations are mentioned on site here, which makes the fitting logistics a whole lot easier.
