We got engaged in November and started planning a March wedding. I was able to get into try on dresses at the Bride Room in December, so we had our work cut out finding a dress in budget and on our timeline.
I was nervous going into this appointment because what if I don't feel pretty in any dresses and I leave without a dress and without confidence in finding the one. Let me say that Kae and her team are special. It started with the personal invite that is texted to you with your name and details of your appointment.
Avery made this experience so special for my daughter! She was creative in her dress selections as well as how to customize little details. We had multiple appointments scheduled today, hoping to find THE dress and this was our first stop.

First, bridal shopping is usually by appointment — book ahead, and when you call, ask what size range their try-on samples come in. A shop can order almost any gown in your size, but the sample sizes on the floor decide whether you actually get to see yourself in the dress, and the good plus bridal shops stock samples to try, not just to imagine. Second, plan the alterations timeline: gowns and formal dresses typically go through two or three fittings, so the comfortable window is starting your search around 8–10 months before the date and saying yes to a gown by 6.
